Robin McAdam – Senior Power Advisor

Robin is Senior Power Advisor for the Bear Head project assisting with arranging power supply for the project.  Prior to joining the Bear Head team, Robin worked for Emera and its subsidiaries Nova Scotia Power and Emera Brunswick Pipeline where he had executive responsibilities that spanned both business development and operations.

Robin’s development experience includes M&A activity including the first purchase of a U.S. utility by a Canadian company; permitting and securing funding for a Canada – U.S. cross-border, high voltage power line; permitting and constructing a high-pressure gas pipeline to serve Canada’s first LNG terminal; and overseeing the permitting and construction of a number of wind farms.  These projects all required complicated and extensive stakeholder relations work.  They also provided Robin with an intimate knowledge of the renewable and conventional power markets in the Northeast US and Eastern Canada, as well as the natural gas market.  While with Nova Scotia Power, Robin was responsible for Customer Service which included operations and maintenance of the electric distribution system and all customer facing activities.

Robin has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA from Queen’s University.
